Dear Professor Von Uhl,
Choosing a career was hard for me because I didn’t know what major to pursue. When i was a little girl I had loved medicine and the idea of being a nurse, but as I was growing up my mind started to change. I started to like computer’s more than anything. It got my attention and I sensed that I wanted to learn more about it and make it my future. My interest in computers started when I was in high school right before covid. I was taking a computer class, playing on the computer and programming stuff.
My short-term goal right now is to try to find a job while I keep exploring what I want for the long-term. I’m planning to work and study even though it was hard my first semester to do so. I am trying to have a good full time job after I graduate. 5 years from now I want to be working for what I study for and have my own house and make a change.
Engineers are making a big change right now because of covid. When covid started everything was done by computer, and now that things are calming down we are still using that system. Computers have been a big help in the world. I think people should learn how to use computers and how technology works because we don’t know what could happen in the future.
Sincerely,
Daylin M Lagares Morel
